Our Journey
Muvvas Boutique is the brainchild of Muvva, based in Los Angeles, California. Although her career in the tech world took precedence, Muvva's heart was always drawn to the world of fashion design and owning her own boutique.
Growing up in India, Muvva's passion for fashion was ignited early on. However, as life led her to the United States, she encountered a challenge familiar to many in the Indian diaspora – the struggle to find Indian apparel that was not only stylish but also affordable, especially in the everyday wear category.
While there were several Indian apparel websites available, Muvva noticed that there were limitations when it came to variety, quality, and pricing. Determined to solve this problem not just for herself but for her friends, family, and everyone in the USA facing a similar challenge, Muvva embarked on a mission.
She joined forces with her mother, Pushpa Kumari, who was residing in India, and together, they assembled a team of skilled tailors they had known and trusted. Their goal? To curate and craft trendy, comfortable apparel that embodied the essence of everyday Indian fashion but were often hard to come by outside of India.
What started as a passion project soon transformed into a reality. Muvva's dream of opening a boutique that could bridge the gap between Indian fashion and accessibility in the USA became a reality. Thus, Muvvas Boutique was born.
Today, Muvvas Boutique stands as a testament to the dedication, love, and determination of Muvva and her team. It's a place where tradition meets modernity, where the beauty of Indian apparel is made accessible, and where fashion truly knows no boundaries.
